Founder

 

 US GovPolicy was established by Christopher Terry,  a visionary leader with extensive experience in government contract certification, public policy, and strategic business development. With a career spent mastering the nuances of public sector regulations and forging strong relationships with key government stakeholders, [Founder’s Name] leads with transparency, innovation, and unwavering dedication to excellence.

By leveraging a unique blend of industry expertise and a forward-thinking approach and the team at US GovPolicy empower clients to streamline their certification processes, refine their messaging, and secure vital government contracts. Military Veteran and training specialist having served in the United States Army 545th Military Police unit as well as U.S. Recruiting Command. I was awarded Army achievement and good conduct medals.  I am a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy with a BS in Public Polic. I attended graduate school at the University of Michigan majoring in Public Administration. With an extensive career in Public Policy, Leagal administration and Social Services.


As an entrepreneur I have been a part of various small business owner initiatives such as Boots to Business Washington DC, Small business administration and Veteran Entrepreneurs program as well as a founding member of the Southeast Michigan Entrepreneurs Association. I was appointed by the city council of Southfield Michigan to the Administrative Civil Service Commission. As a Commissioner as was responsible for the following: 

* Classify all positions in the classified civil service: fix rates of compensation, make rules and regulations covering all personnel transactions; approve eligibility lists based on merit principles

* Prepare amend, recommend and administer an insurance plan and a retirement plan for general system employees

* Serve as a hearing board for settlement of disputes and resolution of grievances. As a Trustee on the Southfield Employee Retirement System I was responsible for the following:

*Responsible for exercising fiduciary responsibility over the $100 million Southfield Employee Retirement System and the $20 million Retiree Health Care Benefits Plan and Trust.

* Review and approve distributions from the trust account (benefit payments and eligible expenses)* Develop policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal law.* Selection of Investment Professionals.

  • I am currently the Government Contract Consultant with the District of Columbia Government.
